SPELLING
 One of the aspects that came out from our Home learning Survey was to provide parents with the opportunity to involve the children in spelling activities at home.  This year we are trailling a new spelling approach that focuses on phonic sounds, blends, spelling patterns and rules.  It is important to explore these words to identify the different roles all of these play in the English language.
On this page we are providing parents with the Essential Spelling words lists.  These are words that occur frequently in both reading and writing.  Feel free to print off the words and set aside time each week to learn and practice 5 - 8 essential words.
